Yellowstone's Winter Wonderland

This gallery features a collection of landscape images from Yellowstone from the winter of 2007-08.  Yellowstone winters can be harsh with lows on the coldest nights nearing -30 to -50 degrees Fahrenheit.  Other times, blowing snow can create white out conditions where visibility is near zero.  But at other times, the wintry landscape is transformed into a wonderland where steam, snow, and light combine into a glorious magical event.
